There are various recent phishing attempts being sent to UGAMail accounts that are forged to look like they are coming from legitimate UGA addresses and they ask for your password or other sensitive information. These are fradulent email "phishing" attempts. The reply-to addresses on these emails usualy go to some third-party non-uga email account. Please DO NOT respond to any emails that ask for passwords and other sensitive information. EITS will never ask you to send your password in an email. Information such as passwords, date of birth, and other sensitive information should not be sent to anyone via email. If you think you have mistakenly replied or sent sensitive information to a phishing email, change your password immediately at the MyID home page. It is best to simply delete these types of messages, and make sure your System Junk Mail Filter is turned on. If you have further questions, please contact the EITS Help Desk.
